Clinical specimen taken from patients or obtained in the course of hygienic monitoring of hospitals are incubated to identify bacteria, fungi, and yeast.
In many fields, microbiological examination is required. Food must be monitored as well as drinking water or water samples. Cosmetic products must be monitored for safety. In research labs, bacteria are grown for genetic tests or tests in molecular biology.

The 4.3 inch touchscreen with clearly arranged dashboard shows the target and actual display, the status of the incubator as well as an overview of all events and alarm messages. Even if these were already 4 weeks ago. Every irregularity due to door openings, tolerance band violations or power failures is additionally documented as an electronic footprint in the logbook.
Easy weekly programming
Define without additional software and directly at the device, temperature drop down for your days off months in advance. Simply determine the start time or the time span as well as the frequency of your temperature reduction in a real-time calendar.
Various events and alarm functions are individually adjustable. For example: Deviations from the interior temperature can be limited asymmetrically via tolerance band limits or fixed via the temperature selection monitor of class 3.1 and 3.2. Class 3.2 is already included in the standard equipment of all cooled incubators.
Sample safety even in case of power failure
With the new setting options, you retain control over your samples even in the event of a power failure. Define the behaviour of your HettCube over a time period or the tolerance band yourself with various setting options.
When setting the time period, you specify the maximum period to be accepted during which your samples cannot be incubated. After the voltage has been restored in the event of a power failure, the HettCube checks whether this has been exceeded. If this is the case, the program is aborted and your HettCube goes into standstill mode. Otherwise it will resume its work.
By defining tolerance band limits and holding temperature, the HettCube checks after a power failure whether these have been violated and then automatically adjusts to the holding temperature. If there is no injury, it resumes its work.
HettCube incubators combine the advantages of natural and forced convection to provide a stable and uniform environment for cultures. The fan is housed outside of usable space, providing higher throughputs and limiting airflow inside the incubator. Temperature is primarily maintained by radiated heat to ensure even temperature distribution and to prevent hotspots. This yields optimum growth conditions and considerably reduces the potential of samples drying out. Minimal operating costs
Our HettCubes heat or cool only when necessary. At an operating temperature of 37 °C, they consume no more than 0.06 kWh. Thus you save up to 450 Euro energy costs per year with a HettCube. Thanks to the low energy consumption, with a HettCube you also avoid emissions of up to 940 kg CO2 per year and protect the environment.
First - class isolation
The isolation of the HettCubes consists of water-driven foam which does not contain any fluorinated hydrocarbons. Their GWP value (Global Warming Potential) is a thousand times lower than that of conventional insulating foams.
Use your uncooled HettCube even where comparable incubators need cooling, because HettCubes keep the temperature stable even at a difference of only 1 K (°C) to the ambient temperature.
Hettich products comply with all applicable safety regulations, carry the TÜV seal and are compliant with IVDR. Hettich manufactures according to the applicable quality and environmental management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001. Each HettCube is temperature validated before delivery by means of the 9 point measurement and recieves a HettCert factory certificate, included free of charge. All temperature data are determined according to DIN 12880: 2007-5.
Hettich offers an alternative operating mode in its cooled incubators for special applications where low temperatures below 15°C are required over long periods. This ensures high temperature homogeneity and temperature stability. At the same time, the unit's compressor is better protected, which contributes to a longer service life of the unit and a reduction in energy consumption. Temperatures between +1°C and +5°C usually lead to icing of the cooling unit during continuous operation. If the cooling unit is briefly warmed up once a day, ice formation is reliably prevented. For this purpose, a DeFrost program can easily be created by the user with the help of the touch screen.

The Hettich Telescope System, which fits in all three incubator sizes, allows the internal space of the HettCube to be used optimally. Telescopic rails make it easy to work and permit use of the entire surface area. Even samples that are way in the back can be easily reached.
The trays, drawers, holders and rails are separate components. You just hang the rails in the grids of the holders and put in the tray or drawer of your choice.

Passive Dehumidification has been developed to reduce humidity quickly and specifically and to avoid condensation inside the incubator. The integrated ventilation opening on the incubator rear wall can be opened or closed manually or time-controlled via the touch control panel. For best results, the ambient temperature should be at least 5°C below the incubator's target temperature when using this option. At the same time, a higher relative humidity in the interior compared to the incubator environment creates optimal conditions.
